Coraline Movie Review By Scene-Stealers.com

www.scene-stealers.com Eric Melin from Scene-Stealers.com and guest host Billy Brimblecom, drummer extraordinaire, review the new 3D stop-motion animation film “Coraline” and talk about its relation to Tim Burton and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” All the ads seem to suggest Tim Burton without actually saying his name, so that is addressed– along with the spookiness of a kids’ fantasy written by Neil Gaiman (of “Sandamn” comics fame) and the idea of 3D accentuating the movie without being too gimmicky. Also, don’t forget to enter our Oscar Pick ‘em Contest for 2009. Enjoy this on-camera review from Scene-Stealers.com!

  14. Dragzilla66 says:

This movie was so dull and boring..

  15. TRRProductions09 says:

Also, each of the dogs in the theater scene was made individually. No dupes whatsoever.

  16. Ryoku75 says:

It’d be nice if Burton made something that wasn’t dark, plus dark don’t mean quality.

  17. T1Matrix says:

thats what i though, it was a tim burton movie. cuz of director of nightmare before xmas.

    i was wrong :(

  18. PandaGirlProductions says:

I ABSOLUTELY AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MOVIE!

I just got it for my birthday!

  19. BLOOredd says:

what he meant as a “dying art form”, is that nobodys doing it anymore, and u dont see it often. then he follows saying it was really great to see in the big screen.

  20. pixargod says:

even though tim burton wasn’t involved as director he wrote the original story and designed the characters.

  21. DevilRebellion says:

These guys make me laugh. That Tim Burton/Henry Selick stuff is genius.

  22. IndianaJonas96 says:

there is a lot more to it than that, trust me.

  23. trilocknot says:

Thank you for a good review guys. But don’t say that stop-motion is a dying art form. This movie clearly states that it’s not

  24. literacyscaresme says:

No, it was not. It was Henry Selik who directed the film. Everyone sees ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ and assumes it was directed by Tim Burton. Tim Burton wrote the original poem, but Henry Selik took Nightmare and made it into a film.
The actual book Coraline was written by Neil Gaiman.

  25. ReighnDrac says:

    No, Henry Selick.
